Rudy van Belkom (MA) is a researcher, innovator, speaker and author in the field of Technology & Transition. He is currently conducting research on behalf of The Netherlands Study Centre for Technology Trends (STT) on the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on decision making in the future. Based on his social involvement, he started an initiative for the exploration of a new political electoral system; The New Vote.

Recommendation by Marcus Fairs, Founder and editor-in-chief, Dezeen: As an ambassador for the Dutch Design Week I approached Rudy to join the politics talk as part of the ‘Good Design for a Bad World’ series. Rudy is a visionary thinker and has a unique view of the future of democracy and the role that design can play in it. He has a lot of knowledge, switches quickly and knows how to make complex matters understandable to the public. That makes him a great speaker and panel member.
